My current body of work comes from Korean pottery. I am working with the idea of bowls that fit into one another with one being a rice bowl and the other being used for soup. I trail underglaze to draw the hibiscus flower on greenware/bisque ware for the surface treatment.
My style of work is influenced by country flower nature Hibiscus. Historical influences come from the type of pottery that have been practiced in Korea as well as the significance of nature. As of right now, I have not looked into any contemporary artist(s) work but instead; I look for books that give me ideas.
